The daffodils and crocus flowers greeted me this sunny morning as I walked out into the side yard. It was as if they were showing off their best behavior, aimed at enriching my life. They are my friends. They come back every year and seem to thank me for serving them well. We make sure the beautiful flowers are fertilized, weeded, and watered under the watchful eye of a landscaper and a reliable sprinkler system. It ensures they remain perennials, returning every year with their beauty.

Your customers are like our daffodils and crocus flowers. If they are properly cared for, they will enrich your bottom line by being perennial. Proper care includes always treating them like brand new customers you cannot afford to lose. It means knowing and anticipating their needs and expectations.  It means clearing out the weeds of hassle and bureaucracy in their path to getting their desired end result. We do not wait until our flowers are drooping to know they need water; we do not let their color fade before providing them fertilizer.

But wait, there is more. We have other beautiful perennials that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. We especially like the giant monarch butterflies. It doubles the beauty and triples the payoff. Your customers can do that for you as well. Give them a great experience, one that gets them telling stories, and they will attract more customers eagerly flying to your organization. The key instruction is nurturance—generously providing what matters most and doing it in a way that enchants as it fulfills.
